DIGORA Optime Digital Imaging System


Is the DIGORA® Optime networkable?
Yes. The DIGORA® Optime can be added to your local area network (LAN) via UTP Ethernet Interface Cable. The unit cannot be linked to a wide area network (WAN) or wirelessly.
However, if you are a single user, it can be connected directly to your computer.

How many units do you need in one clinic?
Only one unit is required for up to 20 users. The DIGORA® for Windows software is offered in Single-user, 7-user and 20-user software packages.


What is the warranty period?
The DIGORA® Optime has a warranty period of one year.


What application software is supplied with the DIGORA® Optime?
The DIGORA® Optime is supplied with DIGORA® for Windows 2.5 software. This easy to use imaging software provides support for Soredex's latest digital imaging units, DIGORA® Optime and Cranex Excel D / BaseX D 2004, 16-bit grayscale image support, and an optional DICOM 3.0 interface. Image Resampling improves the onscreen display of large digital images. The Implant Library has been expanded with new implant models from leading dental implant system manufacturers.

DIGORA® for Windows 2.5 includes all the image enhancement tools you have come to expect from state-of-the-art imaging software; versatile multiple-image viewing and handling, accurate image measurements, and advanced filters and LUT (look-up-table) image processing. The versatile Implant Library makes it easy to choose and superimpose different models of implants on all types of dental images including cross-sectional tomograms.

DIGORA® for Windows 2.5 easily handles digital intraoral, panoramic, cephalometric and tomographic images, while taking into account different magnification factors. Colour video images can be captured using a supported Video-for-Windows capture card and intraoral camera. Enhanced printing capabilities and storage of all measurement and density profile information make it convenient to monitor clinical status and carry out follow-up studies.


Is the DIGORA® for Windows software compatible with common practice management systems?
Yes. The software is compatible with systems such as Exact, PracticeWorks, and OASIS. Visit Hefco's Links page for links to some practice management software providers - they can help you with more detailed information about their products.


What consumables is the DIGORA® Optime supplied with?
The DIGORA® Optime comes with an Imaging Plate set (2 x Size 0, 2 x Size 1, 5 x Size 2, 1 x Size 3), the storage box for Imaging Plates, four boxes of disposable hygiene/protective bags (100 pieces of each size), bite covers for the Imaging Plates (100 pieces of each size), the user manuals for the unit and software, and the installation manual for the software.


What operating conditions are required for the DIGORA® Optime?
The DIGORA® Optime operates in full daylight conditions. This makes it easy to place in the most convenient location in your clinic. It will operate from +10 to +40 degrees C, and simply needs to be placed horizontally, on a stable, vibration-free surface. Describe the imaging plates used with the DIGORA® Optime...
The DIGORA® Optime uses phosphor imaging plates. These plates are comfortable for the patient and easy for the user to handle. The imaging plates are flexible enough to enable easy and precise positioning and comfort for the patient, while being rigid enough to minimise distortion. The DIGORA® Optime accepts four standard intraoral imaging plate sizes: 0, 1, 2, and 3 (22x31 mm, 24x40 mm, 31x41 mm, and 27x54 mm respectively).

Imaging plate covers (bite covers) are provided to protect the imaging plates and therefore extend their usable life. The covers protect the imaging plates from cross-contamination and light after the protective bag is removed.

Sealable hygiene bags (protective bags) make positioning of the imaging plate simple and eliminate the possibility of cross contamination.

The imaging plates incude a marker that is visible on the image if the plate is exposed the wrong way around. Appearance of the marker on the image does not eliminate any important diagnostic information, it just indicates that the image must be mirrored using the DIGORA® for Windows tools. Another exposure is not necessary.


How many times can I use an imaging plate?
If used and handled appropriately, the imaging plates will last for several thousands of uses, without any image degradation at all. However, should you need to replace an imaging plate, you'll find that they are significantly less expensive than those offered by our competitors.


What is the readout time on the DIGORA® Optime?
The readout time from the DIGORA® Optime to the DIGORA® for Windows software is approximately 4.5 seconds. That's quick!


What is the resolution of the image once it's on my screen?
The pixel size of the image is selectable - 40microm (Super) or 64microm (High). The bit depth is 14 bits grayscale, and the spatial resolution is 12.5 lp/mm. The DIGORA® for Windows software supports 8 to 16-bit grayscale and 24-bit True Colour images.

What does that mean? Basically, high quality images with an exceptionally wide dynamic range. The result is that even small details like 0.06 mm root canal files are visible.


Do the protective bag and bite cover go into the DIGORA® Optime with the imaging plate?
NO! The protective bag is removed first, and the bite cover may be used to hold onto the imaging plate as you insert the imaging plate into the DIGORA® Optime. Keep firm hold of the bite cover, let the imaging plate slide from it to the slot on the Optime, and do not let the bite cover enter the unit.

How is the MINRAY® more advanced than other intraoral x-rays?
Apart from it's extendable horizontal arm system, the MINRAY® offers advanced ergonomy over other intraoral x-rays. A specially designed tubehead handle makes tubehead positioning precise and easy. The unit has a steady arm system, allowing you to move the arm smoothly and to keep the tubehead motionless during exposure.

How does the MINRAY®'s remote control pad work?
The user-friendly control panel can be installed in the wall box or be remote mounted in almost any location. The remote mounted control panel has a unique Push-bar exposure switch. It provides pre-programmed exposure settings for adult and child, a choice of 60 and 70 kV for optimized contrast, film and digital modes, and exposure time range between 0.02 and 3.2 seconds. You can also choose your own exposure settings and efficiently store them into memory for future use.


What is the warranty period?
The MINRAY® has a warranty period of one year.

You won't need to decide on arm length when purchasing your unit - this one can be set to your exact needs.
